Wimbledon’s chief executive, Richard Lewis, says he’ll step down after next year’s Championships.
After eight years at the character and his death complies with the handover of the role of Wimbledon chairman lewis will leave.

The former British Davis Cup player said in a statement on Wimbledon’s website:”It has been an immense privilege to become chief executive of the club and to play a role in the continuing development of this club and The Championships.
“Given the election of a new chairman at Ian Hewitt, and also the maturation of the next master plan for the entire breadth of these grounds, it’s the ideal time for me to step down”
Brook states that the 64-year-old has delivered”a extraordinary period of change that will be recognized in our history”.
Lewis joined the All England Club in 2012 as chief executive, with been executive chairman of the Rugby Football League since 2002 and chair of Sport England because 2009.
